[Prog Trance/Breaks] Sharvax - Lunar Perception
View this Thread in Original format

Hello everyone,

I've been around the TA boards for a while, but I guess this is my first post on the promotion boards. :nervous:

This is my first complete track (or at least I'd like to think so), and it's somewhere between prog trance and prog breaks, leaning more towards the trancey side. I don't really know what else to add to this track, so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

(This was made with Reason, BTW)

i like it! nice beats there =)
Can't really give you much details, but I can assure you that this is pretty damn good for a first track imo :)

Thanks! Although it's not my first track.. I've made countless other ones that I could never get around to finishing, hehe.

good to hear you use the right tools ;) ;) ;)

bass drum is OK

0.20 nice atmostphere. The poly sound seem a bit random. Nice pads. Lack of bass - need bass.

1.27 im not a big fan of the 80s style snare drum

2.00 This song has an awesome atmosphere

2.25 seems like a wrong time for a break.

2.40 pretty cool. finaly some kickass bass!!

3.20 some hihats are muffled. Percussions are OK.

3.50 You could add another layer here to achieve a greater crescendo.

4.20 that Hihat just added doesnt work. You need a cymbal with more volume to drive this tune.

5.00 spacy :p

Pretty awesome production here. Thanks for sharing.

I like the snare!

It feels like the melodies and percussion dont work together..melody is to "twinkley" for the agressive breaks.

Atmosphere is very good, nice reverb usage..very full sounding.

The bass that comes in at 2:40 is what the rest of the track should be based around..by far the best part..gabriel & dresden sounding..

Right now you have one long build up and no peak. I think if you used the bassline from 2:40 you could sneak a peak on top of it no problem.

Good work though, you just need to focus on structure

Like i said , good work mate :)

Just like the person above me said, you need to master structuring :)

Good luck.
