I have a question:
What is the name of that long vocal that sounds like strings that is sometimes used in trance?
Is it just named vocal, is it named strings or is there another name for it?
(I mean that vocal that is usually heard in those church type songs)
Thanks in advance! |

These are some of the names given to it in synth patches over the years:
Voices
Voice pad
Aahhs
Oohhs
Choir
Personally, I just refer to it as a voice pad, as it heavily resembles voices (duh) and normally it's used as a pad in songs (that ambient texture that lurks behind the main synths). |

Ya you all pretty understood what I meant :)
And I know its not strings....I just said that it resembles strings.
So the name is: choir pad...
ok cool.
But just for the record: If I'll call it vocal will it be ok? or should I call it something like: choir vocal? or should I just say choir pad?
Thanks people =] |
