by that accord most big trance djs are mixing just like those before them too.
Zabiela has a great talent and his thing is mucking with tracks differently each time he plays them making the experience varied and new. Alot of other big djs just hammer the newest tunes in their promo pools and thats it. I dont think you should be so quick to slam someone for doing something different to set him self apart, because he still rocks a crowd hard if not harder than alot of guys out there |

ah man i tried! i kept jumping up and down in the front yelling "James! James!" and pointing at my shirt but i guess its hard to see up there. ill see if i can send you pics heh. |

WOW... Zabiela stole the show, by far!!! He loves his EFX unit, and isn't afraid to use it. I think he even taught Sasha some new tricks!! I usually think scratching is annoying, but I loved his scrathing! I didn't really recognize any of his songs... alot of fresh, new, sick tracks. :eyespop:
Sasha was also in top form, and a lil on the techy side at points. I was in awe through out the entire night. Even though Zabs set was more pumping, Sasha played the tune of the night. I need help IDing the track. Someone Help!!!
It had female vocals, and it went "Lift me up, Lift me up.... Higher, Higher"! Those vocals kept repeating over and over again. Sasha played that song off & on for a good 10-15 minutes. Anyone have any idea what it was called???
When they were tag-teaming, I felt like I was in HEAVEN.. hehe. They were PERFECT together. They didn't even have to talk to eachother... they just somehow knew what to do. I wish the sets were recorded, because it was the most unreal, uning believable set I have ever heard, from either of them!!! :D
Now, about the crowd. Sure, the people were good looking, and once again, the cracked out FOBS must have been @ Spundae to see AVB, but the crowd was really ANNOYING!!! :mad: I don't like random people coming up to me, trying to hit on me or talk to me, especially if I'm trying to enjoy the set. And wtf were the After Hour Power crowd doing there?? It wasn't an AHP event!!! :mad:
Every 5 minutes, I had some annoying, sweaty loser come up to me. At the begining of the night, I was trying to be polite and not be rude. I actually had a convo with someone. I was like, "So, have u seen Sasha before"? He was like "Who"?? I was like "Sasha... u know, the main DJ that's going to start any minute now". He was like "Oh ya, for sure I have seen him many times". Once Sasha started, I didn't give anyone the time of day... except my friends!! lol
You can't win at these EDM clubs. It's either cracked out asians/FOBS that kill the scene... or idiots who don't even know what the music is all about!! :rolleyes: |
