Blur - Song 2 ( "WOOHOO"!!! )
I love the urban, almost industrial feel of this mix. The infusion of hip hop, rock and good ole fashioned breakbeats laced tracks makes for a very interesting 2 hour mix. It's got that angry, "This is the takeover" type of sound with just layers and layers of breaks crashing into one another, creating an aural orgasm for the breaks junkie.
I'm almost tempted to say this is better then the Staton Warrior Mix which in itself was terrific !
Glad to see the EM embrace the breaks sound and give some outstanding breaks producers a showcase to display their talent. Meat Katie, James Zabiela, Stanton Warriors, Adam Freeland, Plump DJ's and now Evil Nine -- Greedy breaks slut the world over are moist with anticipation at who will get the invite to grace the hallowed decks and break it down.

I'm all for the aggressive dancefloor geared breaks, but there's a treasure trove of more mellower, proggy breaks sounds that would work really well in a laid back mix. Grayarea, Burufunk, Stirfry, Dylan Rhymes, Digital Witchcraft, Wrecked Angele, Tayo, Harbersham, Phil K, Chable, Fretwell -- the EM's breaks faithful await patiently for your moment to step up and drop the neddle. |

Diggers dropped it in his Kiss set recently -- pure, hypnotic bliss !
The fact he followed it up with 'Cloudbrake' later on just added icing on an already delicious cake. |

working on it. I'm splurging right now on the downloads, I'm getting all 1993 mixes in a single package, but my goal is to have every single one by the end of april.
However, due to my newfound appreciation of the breaks, I may up them in the queue.
I just love some of these freaky basslines breaks has got. Really quite inventive funky .
