FOR sure...but now teachers can't even LOOK at a student for fear of getting arrested themselves.I don't know how Florida laws are but they proly called the cops so that the teachers at that school wouldn't be responsible if she gets hurt from being punished. |

Actually i think you're wrong. Have you ever had to deal with a child having an extreme tantrum? Believe me when a kid goes into that state they are extremely hard to control. Usually a good slap will do the trick but in this teacher's case, what could she do? Slap the kid, you get a lawsuit. Manhandle the kid, you get a lawsuit.
Putting the kid in the corner? Hah! Are you kidding me? You think the kid, who's throwing a fit, is going to just stand in the corner??? Yeah right!
The poor teacher didn't really have much of a choice. It's not a case of being yellow, it's a case of trying to figure out how to do what's legal in order to stop the child from keeping up with the rampage. |

I agree entirely! Its crazy how little teachers or other ppl could actually do in that situation w/o the parents threating to sue their n asses.
And as for the monther's statement at the end... i dont know all the facts, but if the kid really did blow up as this article states, then all i can do is laugh at her comments. WHUT SHE SAID IS RIDDICULOUS and i resent the spin she put on it. u gotta be kidding me... look at the way she passes the ENTIRE BUCK onto the school and truly 100% makes the kid look like the victim even tho it was the childs actions that started all this and it was the lack of options available to the teacher that had it end up in the police's hands!
My god... i dont think this parent (unless im missing other pertinent information) has ANY friggin' right to be acting the way she is! Balls! If anything, maybe this taught the kid a lesson about controling herself!! God i hope so!

If this teacher or school or school board gets sued... its a cold day in hell if you ask me! Its bullcrap *potential* lawsuits like this that make me shake my head in disblief. My faith in the universe is completely gone if they get sued over this incident!!:whip: |
