I have been seeing alot of film threads and some people mentioned they study TV and . So this thread is dedicated to the Visual and audio dreamers and fans or whatever. So Who here works in TV/Film/RADIO or is currently studying??
I'll Start.
I study film at ty NYIT, but I studied at the Maine Photographic Workshops as well. Ideally I would like to Direct film but I also write and Edit as well. I have directed few Music Videos and am directing two more this spring as well as I am writing and directing a short film for my class. |

| yea i study TV too @ Bergen Community in Jersey.... i have got 1 year to go and then im gonna work for either cbs,nbc,abc..... whichever, cause my dad works for all those channels so its easy for me to get a job, ill probably do an internship next fall. i gotta d o a movie or commercial thats due in may so i might need help on that, ill let u guys kno;) |

thats a sweet connection. Personally I would rather work in film but the money is in TV. Anyway if you want I can help on your film (as long as we dont have the same shooting schedual.) |

Started in high school with tv and radio production, then went onto Suffolk Community College, did my 2 years there in Video Production did some internships on long island, ie Cablevision, and Auroa Productions.. now im just trying to finish my four year... ill prob end up working for the major market network in manhattan or mtv, nbc, and abc as well bc i have connections there too between my father and brother...
i cant wait to start making some real dough :haha: im sick of making ten an hour! |

hell yea 10 an hour sux, tv is awesome, im so gonna free lance after i get settled like my dad cause he goes all over the place like europe n florida..... for various week long shoots like golf tournaments n things like that, it is SOOOOO much better then bein in n office all day |

i agree
i may get an internship at an international news outlet as a camera man, that should be interesting.
Although my training is more or less in Film, at this point ill do anything for that experience / Resume.
Oh and if anyone needs an Editor look no further, I own my own avid system. |

Yeah i can't wait to travel as one of the purks of the job... my brother worked in advertising for the olympics in sydney and greece so thats awesome... i mean c'mon they pay u to go to austrailia for like weeks same with greece :wtf: awesome stuff... i was thinking about maybe doing an intership overseas as well... maybe BBC or something.. i want to see how the industry is in London and Germany as well i heard it needs some work its not as advanced as the usa so there is oppurtunity for advancement and possible $... but i also know how they feel about hiring foreigners :haha: |

i do avid editing too its a lot of fun. also work with final cut pro, and adobe premiere but not so much as of lately...
do u have the whole setup for avid? dual screens, avid keyboard?, EQ workstation, all those good toys :D |

| friend from school did digital media design in engineering school at penn. he now works for CBS local news here in ny doing the graphics you see during their broadcasts. pretty sweet gig |
