Earthquaking Turntable...

Ok.. when I nudge the record on one of my turntables, it seems the platter starts to vibrate really fast like there's some internal seismic activity.. it causes the tonearm/cartridge to bounce up and down slowly all the way to the middle of the record and the whole thing is like House Party 5.. yes.. that degree of jumpin'..


should i contact a seismologist or what..

it's feedback, the bass shakes the record, which moves the needle, which makes more bass, which loops into itself and your needle will bounce all over the place, i've seen it lift an inch or more off the vinyl like this.

how do i avoid doing this in the future?
