funkymix for trance 12" ??

I've been looking around to pick up a few of the hot hiphop/rnb tracks and came across the Funkymix compilations. They come out every month with about 6 tracks on 2 LPs and the price is usually the saem as one trace LP.. the cool thing is that 3 of the songs I was looking for were on the same one, so you end up saving quite a bit...

now.. is there anything like this for older trance records? I'm trying to build my collection, but am missing a lot of the big hits from a few years ago (stuff like Rank 1 Airwave, System F out of the blue, etc.).. are there any trance compilations like funkymix or promo-only ???

Just thought it'd be easier and cheaper to pick up 15 compilations at $14.99 a peice with 4-6 tracks on it, rather than scavenging the internet looking for 50 12" singles that are all used and overpriced!!

thanks

www.ultimix.com
www.thesourceformusic.com
www.ebay.com (that is where you get the best deals -- I picked up a copy of Funkymix 38 for $10 :eyespop: brand new and sealed)

Funkymix is the urban version of Ultimix (both the same company). Ultimix does pop and cheese-house stuff. I really don't know of any like that for trance.. but why would you need it for trance? That's not even real mixing IMHO.

I use Funkymix for the hiphop stuff, just because hiphop isn't my main interest in music and it's easy to do (for when I dj parties and schools and ) but I really wouldn't reccommend relying on a remix service like that for your trance mixing.

thanks, I'm just looking to pick up some hip hop stuff to play out in this town. Trance isn't big at all, so if I want to play here thats what its gonna have to be.

Funkymix is promotional only unless you buy on ebay.

Now if only they made hip-hop compilations with decent tracks on them I'd be in heaven.
