you serious?
Anyway, plenty of places along Fiztroy St StKilda and surrounding - Prince of Wales, Gunn Island, Metropol, Elephant (not much dance music there, but who cares) |

Erm.. try telling us what kinda stuff (atmosphere/birds) you like.
Obvioulsly you're on TA so there's a plethora of events advertised which are mostly all well worthy of a squiz, other than that what do you have in mind? Pubs? Big Clubs? Basements? Lounges? Upmarket? Skanky? |

sorry to be a negative pain in the arse, but the places to "be seen" are generally "not nice" places. Maybe I'm too down to earth...
Anyway- Fitzroy st St Kilda sounds like your go, there's definately plenty to see, some farily swish places with a nice grungy feel at the same time. Also, try Altitude (Bullens Lane off Russell st) in the city- great little club with a really quite cosy friendly vibe and a good variety of dance music. That place is the best combo of a chilled lounge/rockin club environment. |

to see and be seen is one thing, but which scene do you want to be seen in? if you want the upmarket 'glam' scene, with the gliterattis, rockstars and primadonnas you will of course have to venture down to Room 680, Prince of Wales, 161, and maybe Motel (ask paulie for more details! :p) :D if you want more 'upmarket' in the sense that the majority of punters can be seen in the gossip liftout of a national newspaper then im sorry to say that i don't have the knowledge, social skill nor enthusiasm to kiss so many arses to be able to climb up there. however if you want to take it down a few notches and hang out with us humble (and sometimes jaded) tranceaddicts, you're more than welcome. we usually stroke our chins at altitude, room 680 or cage nightclub, whenever there's good trance being played out. watch batemanscott, stevestrangis or light the fuse here from the board play on some major trance events supporting the internationals, you wont be dissapointed. oh, watch out for marsh too, he's a killa! i heard he's getting a vinyl pressed? :D
ok enough shameless plugs for my mates for one day ROFL.
