Went to the Opening night last night.. I haven't laughed that hard in, well ever really. :D :D :D

My lungs are still hurting, feels like I just ran a marathon. ;)

So who's going to some shows this year, any recommendations for good acts to see?
Looing myself to get to as many shows as I can.
*the doctors say laughing is good for you, but I don't think my chest cavity would agree atm :haha: )
jizza
maria bamford
daniel kitson
dave hughes
matthew hardy
arj barker
bill bailey
jeff green
mr methane

ahhh too many

but the 2 i will prolly drag the missus to see are:

MARIA BAMFORD

&

MR METHANE:

Doc Matrix
I recommend:

Daniel Kitson - Rude and very sarcastic, but the funniest comic I know
Ross Noble - Energetic and all over the place, but very clever at the same time
Danny Bhoy - Haven't seen his whole show yet, but he always rocks the gala
Steven Wright - 2 Shows only, but damn funny. He's not for everyone, he's the half bald guy that sorta just stands there talking in a quiet monotone voice. Kinda like Elliot Goblet

For the locals I'm a fan of Rob Quantock. He's got a very intelligent show.

A tip though, try to see the earlier shows of the festival. Sometimes by the end of the festival some of the comics have done their shows so many times that they're over it and the last few aren't too good.

sorry to burst a bubble guys but it looks like carl may not be appearing at this year's comedy festival. i was looking that the ticketmaster7 sight and didnt see his name or stage show anywhere which is pretty sad really...

danny bhoy and ross noble would definately be worth a look though.
