As in the rest of the world, degrading names based on race aren't welcome here. Racist jokes seem to be somewhat ok, perhaps based on the thinking that jokes denouncing stereotypical characteristics of every race exist. However, your thread had a clearly inflamatory name and was originally made of content that made it highly suspicious that you used the word in any way but to verbally demote one particular race.
I'm not claiming to know your intentions of opening the thread, but I think even you would have a hard time proving that your thread was not titled in reference to a pretty derogatory depiction of an unnamed race. While your freedom of speech is one matter, the people who run the boards seem to think that your statement might emotionally impair other people, and that a temporary ban was a sufficient device to make you consider your actions more carefully in the future.
Im not a mod, and I know this...Maybe you're not sure why you were banned, but unsure of why you haven't since been unbanned. |
