Some people believe that all social problems have solutions; other people believe that some problems cannot be solved, only mitigated, and that public policy is a matter of trade-offs. People in the leftist camp tend to fall into the first category, those on the right, in the latter.

what?
id be labeled as a leftist loony, but then again, nothing youve posted makes any sense or proves much.
perhaps it makes for humorus commentary on some imagined community, but beyond that it just makes assumptions:
Left: John Maynard Keynes. Right: Frederich Hayek.
-never disparaged by cons hero Reagan.
ing ell:
Left: Boulder. Right: Mayberry, RFD.

| haha. Some of those were funny, some I't tend to agree with and some were downright peculiar. I think we should make this thread sticky and debate one of these topics per day--just for the hell of it. |

It should've come with a poll asking us to vote which sentences we agree with. I could do that, if someone actually finds it interesting (i.e. insert a poll in this thread). |

Excellent idea Lira and good post Capitalizt....yeh i like this idea...some of them are obvious, for me anyway....and some of them i would difficult...but it would be great to get an overview of everybodys ophinion.....and im sure there will be some surprises....that would generate good commentary and make it a really good thread.....im up for it anyway...if it isnt to much hassle for you Lira....see what others think.... |

i think it would be easier to just post a "thread of the day" with one of these sentances and a poll than for Lira to categorize them and what not.
Plus that would limit the debate on just that sentance for the day and avoid overspill of other days debates into new ones. |

that sounds to sensible...a good old debate anarchy style....
or you could just do the whole poll and pick out the best ones for individual threads.....i mean who wants to debate Volvo V Lexus...ive never owned either...mind you i wouldnt mind a Lexus :D |

Interesting thread, however inaccurate it may be.. It seems to be only somewhat relevant to American politics. But even then, it comes across that democratic lefties are all communists (which, from what i know, is not true)
Plus, we stereotype rightists as religious gun-nuts...? (again, very relevant for Americans, but not so much the rest of the world) |
