Yes, looping stuff :p

It's really hard to get stuff timed exactly right (ie. grab one exact bar of the track) so whenever I use the record on the DJM it's usually just to record one single beat and then use that sample as a one shot in breakdowns to build the energy as the beat comes back in.

if you've used CDJs with looping, getting a good loop going is easy. yes, it is useful, if you're into major "effecting". you can do some crazy live remixing if you tweak the "Time" parameter, and then bring the track back in at the right time.

if its the same as the EFX 500, its awesome....

Practice for a few weeks and you will be able to get the timing spot on.

I started using the looping on the djm a while back. You can get some really good effect with it. And the fact you can slow and speed the loop up is also very effective.

I've since sold my djm for an xone-92. I've got the cycloops sampler now, which is good cos you can have a load of loops at once but you can't slow the loop down or speed it up.

yea its fun to mess with the pitch :P,

but imo hard to get it matched, i guess you need to start it at the right time...
