I love Gabriel and Dresden (as DJs and producers) but they are the perfect example of taking this too far. They play the hell out of their tunes that by the time they're actually released, most of us are sick of them. But I guess it was the hard lesson they learned with "As the rush comes", which eeeeevery one had and played to death.
And don't get me wrong here...I love their tunes, but I'm not tempted to purchase them because by the time I can buy them, everyone else has them and they don't sound exclusive anymore. I guess it also has to do with the fact that so many people crave their productions. |

| I don't care if other djs don't wish to release certain material you have to respect their decision or the label's decision. If you're an amateur with no promos and you can always play something avaliable. Playing unreleased tracks or Edits doesn't make you look exclusive or better. |

| Deejays need to be able to produce and keep their tracks to themselves now more than ever before. With the advent of the internet being part of everyone's lives and expeically now with broadband, finding rare and exclusive tracks is no longer a bit struggle and just abount anyone can make a set like any of the top deejays. So seeing one deejay is no different to seeing another. Once a deejay starts producing his or her own tracks or using close friends tracks and sticking them into sets then thier sets become more exclusive and much more different as they're playing tracks nobody else has. I think it's cool to hear tracks only one person has but there's the issue of taking it too far and spoling the value of the track as well as keeping it from the public. |

When an unreleased track DOES get released... people moan about re-releases.
Example: Seven Cities [armin van buuren breaks remix]
That has now got releases, and i remember seeing a topic about this kinda stuff.
But yeah, dubs and stuff are a pain in rear.
...thats just my £2

Obviously not... i never heard of such a track before i seen it advertised, but still a similar situation!
I agree that getting a track specifically remixed to resale is wrong, but then when releases like Signum's Second wave 2004 and Jose Amnesia's The Eternal come about, then do moan (ok, so its not unreleases, but it was pretty rare!) |

he does this purely based on the fact he wants his name next to every good track in any shape or form, hence these ty re-edits. |
