Anyone heard anything about this new unkle release?
release date for the UK is 18/04/05
I'm pretty excited, the concept sounds great, would love to see some sort of tracklist.

UNKLE Entertainment presents UNKLESounds: 'Edit Music For a Film - After Dark Prologue (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Reconstruction)'. This was done for the 'After Dark' event in the ICA, London. James Lavelle put together a mix of soundtracks from films that inspired him the most...and this is the result of that amazing set.
James Lavellle and Richard File's UNKLE Sounds once again returns with another awesome Soundscape mix. Taking their inspiration from the Movies this 2CD set seamlessly mixes together some of the biggest tracks from the dancefloor with movie dialogue and well known film music. Featuring tracks and collaborations from Roots Manuva and Richard Ashcroft alongside original UNKLE compositions this is another essential collection from UNKLE. This will keep all the Mo Wax headz and UNKLE warriors more than happy with plenty of surprises and hidden gems.
:p cannot wait :p |

In fact I can hazard a guess at one of the tracks on the album at least.
Moby - God Moving over the face of the Waters mashed up with UNKLE - In a State.
I saw Lavelle at Fabric a week ago, and he played this. I remember thinking at the time, it was quite an abstract track selection, and of course the moby track is the track playing in the final scene of the film Heat (De Niro & Al Pacino).
This mashup is phenominal and to be honest i'd pay 16 pounds or whatever just to be able to hear it again. |

I think that is the finest use of music I've ever seen in a film. I love the track anyway, but it sounds so much better when used at that moment in 'heat'. |

I really like UNKLE's Never Never Land album, but haven't heard much of Lavelle's mixing.
This should be a good cross-over compromise it seems. |

Sounds like:
Radiohead - Exit Music (For A Film)
The song that plays at the end of Romeo & Juliet. The one with DiCaprio in it. |

Classic movie in 'Heat' & to be able to hear quality scores mixed UNKLE style is amazing!!!!! I just wish DJ Shadow was still apart of them! |
