Good Friday is a holy day celebrated by Christians on the Friday before Easter or Pascha. It commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. Special prayer services are often held on this day with readings from the Gospel accounts of the events leading up to the crucifixion. Mainstream Christian churches view Christ's crucifixion as a voluntary and vicarious act, and one by which, along with his resurrection on the third day, death itself was conquered.

I may not be getting any action today, but at least we know jesus got nailed on this day in history.

nobody knows what date jesus was crucified or ressurrected. it really didnt matter to the early apostles. so the date of easter which really is a pagan holiday turned christian/pagan easter bunny is used to commemorate the most important event to christians in the bible.

Dood :conf:

There is no significance between the Easter bunny and the christian bible.

The Easter bunny was introduced to American folklore by the German settlers who arrived in the Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 1700s. The arrival of the "Oschter Haws" was considered "childhood's greatest pleasure" next to a visit from Christ-Kindel on Christmas Eve. The children believed that if they were good the "Oschter Haws" would lay a nest of colored eggs.

Therefore, the Easter Bunny is a symbol of new life during spring season. Origin of Easter Bunny
