TA WMC Dinner @ Taverna Opa 3/25/05 Review + A few pics (pg. 4)

| matt damon took some e... It was all good until about an 1hr and 30min into it people were getting restless because there was no FOOD! I got up and helped matt see what was up. If you dont already know, the problem was the manager wanted to charge for 165 people instead of just the 80 people who were there. It was tuff for matt, who gave his debit card to the manager, to save the spot for the dinner, and then someone telling him he had to cover the 85 people who wernt there. 40 bucks per head is kindof hard to cover for some, let alone 85 people at 40 bucks per head. Matt, ryan, brian, others, and I had to negociate with the amature manager. We had to give the guy $800 to cover what everyone had and I appreciate everyone for chipping in to pay for nothing. We even had to talk to the cops to settle this, yuk. Anyways, I was glad to see everyone and had a decent time. I will make it one of my personal goals to help make this smooth and non-hassle like for next year. I also promote thanking MattD for setting this up and taking the heat for all of us. This should show how hard it really is to set up a large gathering and thanks matt for helpin us out. |

$10? We wish. Only a few people actually ATE. Came out to $40 for the few people that did eat. Last year's dinner was better organized despite there being drama with the owners then, as well. But Taverna Opa's owners were just plain s. |

| Big props to damon for taking up the heat..and everyone else helping to ease the situation, pat, ryain, brian, and everyone that I saw jumping in to help out in one way or another. And yeah, it was 40 bucks per head. |

The drinks were great and the view was spectacular... OHH company was awsome tooooo. Ho needs food anyways!!! Its over rated!
BTW the cops were no help. |

I musta been really drunk cuz I don't remember seeing the cops.....
....that or I had taken one of my two walks back to my car for more beer.  |

No wonder I didn't see them. Suckx they couldn't help. Damn, judging by some of the posts by those who knew how the owners were acting, I'd say they were trying to extort money from Damon....those stupid owners, Jesus....even the owners of Porcao weren't as bad...dramatic, yeah, but extortionists? No... |

Ive never seen somebody boast so much about their drinking since they were 17. A comment on how much they drank in passing, but it seems to be the theme of every DA WMC related post.
