Mine are not coming in and I'm almost 20. My mom never had her's poke out so I have a high chance of following in the genetic footsteps.

This happened to me, only I was missing three teeth. It's not that painful.

One of my wisdom teeth is coming out crooked, so it hurts when I chew on it. THe other 3 aren't even out yet. I booked an appointment, and naturally, I asked what the pain is like, and they said it varies, depending on the person, like many of you said.

Thing is, 3 of mine have to be cut out (they're still under the gums), so I dunno... sounds pretty damn painful.

misconception. ive seen from firsthand experiance at having 4 of my teeth pulled out by my dentist mother, it is not nearly as painful as childbirth, in fact, i had appendicitus one year, and i would take having 4 teeth pulled out at the same time to having appenditus ever again. and appendicitus still isnt as bad as childbirth. now, kidney stones are certainly comparable. and ive talked to a mother of 2, who also had kidney stones. she said it was very close to having a child, except the fear and anxiety that grips one suffering this ailment.

Apparently kidney stones are about the closest pain a male can feel to childbirth, though. :p

If the painkillers aren't working, send 'em on over to me. :wtf:

ever tried cutting chilli and not washing your hands, then touching either your eyes or genitals?...that to me is the definition of pain

go see your dentist. My friend had this problem and it turned out she had an air pocket or something like that that caused ALOT of pain.

the pain shouldnt be that bad after four days.

you're lucky if you think thats the worst pain ever

i had 4 impacted teeth, and yeah it hurts but its not by any means unbearably bad or even close to it

i'm having my 3rd surgery this May, and I'd trade it for my wisdom teeth getting pulled a million times over.

/end of rant

Dude, percocet is what you need. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and my top jaw cracked and widened last fall and they hooked me up with percocet. This drug works like magic, sure makes you sleepy though :(
