edmdigital.com - good site so far... good music, but one problem
it seems as though they only offer mp3's and "flac" files...
what is a flac file?
and also keep in mind that the mp3's are 320kb
but there are no wav files... i do plan to use these tracks in a club so should i be purchasing from somewhere else altogether?
as we all know, mp3's are just not good enough for a loud system
but what about a 320kb mp3? no? |

FLAC files are an open source lossless file format. So when you uncompress it into a WAV, it is identical to the original WAV file (unlike with an MP3).

Never heard of Flac files before. Interesting info, also a very nice site. |

Most people can't tell the difference between a WAV and even a 192 MP3. The club people noise and amplifier/speaker/echo effects are going to be much bigger factors in what is heard.
I still like to get the WAV file if possible but just for backup and so I can re-rip at some future point if necessary. |
