Hi,
I don't know if any of you know "Dance Industrial II" sample CD, but it is organized in an interesting way: each track starts with a 4-bar loop followed by all the beats & pieces that make up the loop.
I was wondering which sample CD's geared towards trance are organized like that instead of folders of kicks, claps, etc.. cause if you first hear the loop you kinda hear the sounds in context which somehow works better when looking for sounds.. anybody else agrees?
Any recommendations? |

| if i get a sample cd that has loops first thing i do is delete every single one of them as i feel they are a complete waste of time and space. honestly if i want to hear drums in context i load up 30 or so sampler channels in flp and load a varitey of the samples into them and work with them. the hardest thing i find tho is putting together open hh with closed hh that sound good complementing each other. probly the hardest part of it all. |

I must disagree with you there ZxZDeViLZxZ,
Loops are the best thing you may come across, as long as you have pitch control over them. These loops will help make your tune "individual" as long as you process them enough to be unrecognisable.
I would recommend that you DO NOT use FL (fruityloops) for this kind of loop manipulation as it lacks any kind of professional tools.
PM me for more in-depth instructions. |
