if you like trance, go to paul, its pretty simple!

not 'ALL EDM FANS' are going to see paul...come on now, the fluffy stuff isnt for everyone :)

Gainesville needs the fluffy stuff...maybe it will start to fill the clubs that aren't playing Hip-Hop. Theres only like 5 DJ's in G-Ville that play in all the clubs playing electronic, and they all basically suck. Theres no good variety or quality, and the breaks is really bad. I'd be happy to play Simons/Plasma and help build a good scene.

Well, not really worthy of a review thread.

Got really thrashed, paying for it this morning.

Hydra, love the Fanciulli style. All the openers were > Hughes. Good mixing from him but the man seriously needs to get his track selection out of 2001.

Last night was a lot of fun! I always seem to get really trashed every time i go to simons, but w/e i had a ball. It was a surprise to see simon and his brother at the club, I havent seen them out in a really really long time. openers were more danceable than andy hughes, but he wasnt BAD... his track selection just sounded kinda old....plus who spins vinyl anymore, pssssshhhh (j/k) finally we went to a show in gville that didnt suck! yay!!

lol...does the truth hurt? Dude I lived there for 4 years, and it was only worth going out when an out of town DJ was brought in. The other DJ's are afriad to let anyone else in their little circle to play out cause it will show how much they suck. Why is it on House/prog/trance night their playing to an empty dancefloor?

winner of the most retarted reply ive ever seen!!!

way to talk about something you have ZERO clue about, there are hardly ANY breaks dj's in this town anymore, and let me tell you the ones that are ive seen perform turntablism sicker than anyone in your local scene (anyone who has seen lucien or diamond scratch will back me up)

also: anyone who's seen our locals play thinks you are a fool right now...there is some incredible talent in this town...don't know who you've seen play but check out:

Boyd Westerman (if you havent heard of him you live under a rock)
Roger Del Pino
Ghost
T-Mas
YY Chrome
Debauchery
MAX Spl
Courtney K
FADE
etc...honestly i dont have to prove this further, you clearly have no clue what you're talking about

uhhhh ok, I have seen all those DJ's except for Debauchery and MAX Spl...and I think its you guys that have no clue as to what people want to hear. You play what you like and want to hear, not what everyone else does, and thats a big problem. I have Boyd's Belguim Sunday/Looplife release, which is OK, and I drop it occasionally from time to time. I've been into this scene for a while, I know whats up. Look at the few posts above mine, I'm not the only one who thinks this way. I'm not saying your technical skills are bad, its track selection that is off IMO and many others dude. Play stuff people want to hear and you'll fill the clubs.
