I use FLS, and...well... the effects for the mixer, suck ALOT...And, Im pretty broke. SO. Does anyone know where I can DL and get some free FX-vst's?
RiCo
www.kvr-vst.com...and next time

google VST effects or anything related to VST and it'll bring way more searches than you ever wanted.

Thats all Demo's though...O_o

you mean like reverb, distortion, phaser type effects?

for distortion i use these freeware plugins (all available from KVR):

cyanide2 (decent for really harsh treble distortion)

stereo greastube (tube amp distortion simulator. makes things sound fat and crunchy. good for guitars or guitar like crunch)

SC_Overdrive (cold, harsh digital distortion)

tridirt (very subtle 3 band distortion plug with changeable saturation. good for adding a little bit of grit or bite without full blown overloading it with fuzz)

for reverb i use:

glaceverb (its free! and it sounds to my ears cleaner than fruity reverb.)

SIR 1008 (the ultimate reverb plugin. this is seriously better than most reverb plugs you have to buy. go and get the lexicon PCM91 impulse responses from www.noisevault.com run them through SIR. you will never hear a better reverb for free. or even under 200 quid. SIR runs permanently 203 ms behind everything else in your host however. you can compensate for this this by downloading analogx sampleslide. its also free.)

for compressors:

i sometimes use kjaihaus golden compressor. its fairly neutral. more so than fruity's compressor.

Yea. Like that stuff. Like Chorus, filters, reverb, distortion, flanger, phaser, etc. Thanks

There's a lot of freeware VSTs out there, brother man...you just have to look for them. Before I knew what I was doing, all I used was freeware plugins...tons of them. They're out there. In p2p applications like Kazaa, etc, you can find a lot of discontinued freeware plugins that the companies don't have in their websites anymore, like ReFX TBL...good freeware plugin that they don't distribute anymore. :)

Really? I could have sworn all my free vst plugs were actually free, not in demo mode. And I found them via kvr. But you may in fact be right. Although....

Yeah looks like their search engine does in fact differentiate between commercial products and freeware products.

That's what I was going to say, tranc3. I guess some people have to rely in other people and don't want to even read themselves and comprehend.
