a question about Cielo from a NY transplant...

hello NYTA's
i am originally from NY and coming back to visit for a week in April with my boyfriend. he has never been to NY so i want to show him a good time. we were considering seeing PVD @ Crobar on the 15th, but i think we would both like to avoid insane crowds and insane ticket prices. so now we are considering going to see Dave Seaman & Chable @ Cielo on the 10th, but i know absolutely nothing about this place, other than what i've read on websites. it says cover is $15 which is pretty reasonable, but is it difficult to get in? when i was living in NY i wasn't 21 yet so i didn't go out to a lot of places but i remember a lot of my older friends telling me stories of how hard it was to get into clubs because they are very particular about the way people dress, etc...
just looking for some tips and info before we get there so we don't get turned away at the door or anything sucky happens.
also considering Hybrid @ Cellar Bar on the 15th, not totally sure yet though.

Cielo is awesome with a kick ass soundsystem! Definitely come to Chable/Seaman and come early. They enforce a door policy when the club is getting full. Should be a lot of people coming for this! Hybrid on the 15th? At Cellar Bar? you sure about this?

yea girl, you NEED to go to cielo. and cellar bar. it's gonna ing rock!

| Sometimes you need to be on a list to get into Cielo, but I haven't had a problem when going there on a Sunday night. |

cool, thanks for the info guys. i'd definitely love to meet some NYTAs! :D plus i've been dying to see Seaman for like 4 years now.
about Hybrid, i'm pretty sure i read that in the NY events thread. the text was darkened so i'm not sure what that means, but it's listed in their tour dates on their website so i'm guessing it's confirmed. |
