WMC this year was great. Here are some of the shows I saw and what I thought of 'em.
-PVD/Kleinenberg @ Space- Edgar V was playing a great set, he messed up but whatever, it's all good. PVD was bangin pretty good. Went up to the terrace and Stef was rockin it. Caught a lil' bit of Sander and he's been tearing it up ever since he got to miami this year. Mr. Roboto? Disgusting track, crazy.
-Ultra- Again, Sander had his game goin. Junkie XL blows it up whenever he wants and he did it nicely. I thought Tiesto started off kinda weak so I left. Headed over to the Breakthrough tent and passed Carl Cox and friends on the way there. Captain "Waterfalls" was boomin and his friends were as well. I thought Santana should've had more time so he could keep the tracks goin. And some jackass after him was jumping on the stage and skipped his needle. He acted like it wasn't his fault but he's gonna get a visit from the WTF crew. Seb Fontaine is an animal. He killed it. People were running around the subliminal tent goin nuts screamin cuz Fontaine was the man there.
-Hostel Party- There was a party every night we were at the hostel we were staying at. And Sunday night was the illest, great dj's, local and from abroad. I was glad I didn't stay at a hotel. They played poolside all day everyday. Great to wake up to. Met some great people and talent. Definitely goin back there next year.
And now ladies and gentlemen, the greatest piece of talent this year was..............DANNY TENAGLIA! I really do not give a dam if anybody thinks otherwise. The legend tore it up for 3 hours (especially wit that frank sinatra)and kept that goin even after everybody else was done. We asked for one more and we got it even though the Police golf cart crap showed up. Cop showed up on stage and Danny turned up the master. He eventually had to cut it but not before ruling the entire WMC conference in one night. He killed it, crazy, nuts, bonkers, bananas whatever you wanna call it. No more words can describe what he did.
I forgot some others but ya'll prob went to them anyways.
Great to see Michelle, Richie Rich! Watup!, Colleen, Nadine you took my seat!, Dominik you the man, Toni, Ira, Bunny, The Dungeonmaster, Dara, The Ice crew and anybody else forgot sorry. Good times, great times. next year......... revolutionary |
