Hi, I'm a bit confused in the trance world. I'm not sure what genre I like, and I need some tips of what to buy/download (mix sets etc.). I'll let you know some of my favourite tracks:

Buy yourself a blow-up sheep. They are pretty cheap & will last up to 3 months without popping, that's if you treat it right. The secret is in the lube: make sure you use alot of it. Pump it hard & make "umph umph umph" sounds & your halfway to trance heaven. |

your classifications are correct, you seem to enjoy the trance and the hard stuff.
I suggest you dont try so hard to learn sub-genre classification, it seems like you have enough understanding to be able to tell some things apart, and it is no big deal if you hear a couple tunes and put them in a different category then somebody else does. One might think that by learning the classifications that some of your favorite tunes are in, that you could just search for more things with that classification and find all the tunes you might like, but it doesnt usualy work this way, you may seem to enjoy trance and hard style, but not all trance and hard style will do the same thing for you that those songs you mention do.
Genre's arent as important as they appear to be, but it does help a little to be able to describe what you like when you are looking for something, but not all likable things are so easy to describe, you might find something amazing that never occured to you before if you didnt restrict your searching to a specific genre.
What do you like about those songs? sometimes it is easier to figure out what music to look for when you think about why you like those tunes, rather than thinking about what categories those tunes are put into. |

Thanks! Yes, I know it's hard for others to tell what kind of music I like :F Many times, I don't like 90 of 100 tunes, but the 10 remaining are wonerful. I guess I'll just have to look around myself. I don't really know why I created the thread. Maybe I thought someone that also liked the tunes I mentioned could give me some tips. Well, you don't know any good online shop that sells this kind of music? I found a really good site once, but I lost the URL. They had really good sample system (flash). |
