Matt Darey is returning with a new CD.... has an impressive track listing, and should be huge, he is starting his tour in the US! Think he isnt being mentioned enough around here...

Matt will be releasing his first USA mix album “Upfront Trance” in May with a 2 CD album containing all the best Upfront trance tracks form the last 6 months. The album release date will be 5th May 2005 and Matt will start his 10 date album tour of the USA and Canada on May 18th 2005. The album will follow the release of Matt's “Point Zero” EP on 15th March 2005 containing the tracks, Matt Darey - Liberation 2005, Li Kwan - Point Zero, Lost Tribe – Gamemaster, Lost Tribe – Possessed, Matt Darey – Beautiful and Nocturnal Delight. Also will contain the videos for Beautiful and Shine on featuring Marcella Woods. |

he doesn't deserve to be mentioned due to the fact that he during the last years has done nothing but re-released his old tunes (gamemaster, point zero, liberation). And the fact that he never included The Digital Blondes massive remix of Point Zero on the vinyl release, well that made me loose respect for the guy forever.
I bet his next CD is just as cheesy as all other crap djs are releasing nowadays |

i think its time for Matt Darey to hit the studio and make some new tunes. all these re-releases and calling them "new" loses him respect he once commanded when he was producing quality tracks years ago.

it's a shame what has become of the once so brilliant producer. :(
i'd still like to get the ORIGINAL of point zero on cd as all the new mixes are FAR FAR WORSE than the massive original. |

so? I know that, and its also released on the CDM. But how could Darey release 2 vinyls of Point Zero and not include the Digital Blonde remix on any of them and instead make space for the crappy Agnelli & Nelson remix and two of his own remixes.

Awful, awful traclist IMO.
Matt Darey has been very dissapointing as of late. Although I reallly liked "Wanna Be An Angel", I've been very dissapointed with the rest of his work since his "comebackk". It's never a good sign if you make a comeback and instantly recycle every one of your old aliases within a year. |
