I'm totally feeling what Guv did by not bringing in a PvD or an Armin simply because they know they can make so much more money by branching off into the other genres of techno, breaks, and house, and maybe even hip-hop. Guaranteed The Guvernment Complex is gonna be rammed to the on that night. You got the techheads, the breakers, even the hip hoppers. I can't wait for this night, I'm gonna definitely be splitting my time between Guv and Orange Room. One set I absolutely cannot miss is Baby Anne's. I've loved that girl for awhile now and it's been along time since I heard some good breaks.
I don't mean to offend any of the trance addicts here but I think it's true that the majority of those here only like trance and will only listen to trance. You're missing out on some other great times of EDM. It's nice to have a little variety when your partying, it spices things up a bit. I for one, only use to listen to house, and breaks cuz I was a huge System Fiend. But now that I'm spending more time at the Guv I don't mind Trance once in awhile. I don't love trance but will that doesn't mean I won't go and have a good time. I think it's a pretty safe observation that there are those that won't step foot into Systems, CZ just because it's house music being played. |

Well said! I think it is very important to appreciate music all together...even if u aren't a die hard fan of certain genres it is not a bad idea to attend an event or two just to get a taste...Im very open minded about edm and I listen to various genres and would have been at the guv if Tiesto wasn't here! but its not like it ends here so I'll be lookin forward to a similar party in the near future~!!:D |

Okay, I am in for G2 it looks like folks. In all honesty, I've seen Tiesto and he wasn't anything spectacular - KT's opening set was better. But I respect those who love the Tiesto - I secretly love "Cotton-Eyed Joe" by Rednex so everyone is allowed their own tastes/choices.
But G2....TECHNO! And then the Breaks in the Orange Room - wow. I am definitely getting a crew up for this. And to all those TOTAs at Tiesto....Comfort Zone meet up afterwards? :P
