Wednesday 3.23.05:
me and my girlfriend got there on wednesday da 23rd and just walked around checkin out south beach for most of the day, checked out Laid 05 for a little bit then ate next door, went back to da hotel and got ready for armin @ spin...

the nite was siccckkkk, got there at 11 somethin to an empty dancefloor, met a whole bucn of TA's which was cool, (sorry vtec about da pics u wanted me to take but da camera died out plus it was too packed to move :( ) then i stayed towards da dj booth da whole nite, remy was awesome and was a great opener for armin... armin came in at around midnight and was chilling for an hour talkin to ppl and gettin ready to spin.... he spun from 1-3 and it was a ridiculous set!! i suck @ IDing tracks but its everything he's been playin lately, then markus came on at 3 and spun til 5 im guessin. i dunno i left at 3:30 because it was real packed and wayy too hot.
Thursday 3.24.05:
Wet Grooves Pool Party 3.24.05 PICS <------- Clicky Clicky
got up and went to da wetgrooves pool party at around 2:30PM there wasnt much of a line but it was $100 bucks a person to get in which sucked but it was worth it. The place was awesome and got real packed real quick, me and my girl only paid $116 for both of us :tongue3 da vibe of the whole party was awesome, i saw da main ppl spin but didnt see Judge Jules, what time did he spin?? anyway, here's who i saw
The Scumfrog - awesome set, it was my first time seein him and he ripped it, he played some good tunes and got the party goin
Christopher Lawrence - Awesome as well, i never knew he was soo good
Oakey - aiight set from him except when he played traffic *GAYYYY* he needs to change his whole set, da only good track was PPK resurrection
there was alot of ppl there but i still went in the pool and had a good time!! i left after oakey's set to get ready for Tiesto @ Space
Tiesto @ Space was aiight, i got there at 10:45 which was a mistake but i didnt kno any better, da whole night sucked cause it was so packed and plus we got locked out of the main room at 2 so i left at around 3.. it was my first time going to space and i liked the set up of the whole place, its pretty cool, i was pretty buzzed too from da 4 drinks i had back to back as i got in :) i heard Tiesto was sick and im kinda mad i left and didnt stay da whole nite, i paid enough to get in, when i left the line was soooo long
Friday 3.25.05:
got up and went straight to the radio 1 Party which was one of the best parties of the week!!!
Radio 1 Party @ Nikki Beach PICS <--------- Clicky Clicky
awesome awesome party, i got there at 12:30 and the line was only 5 minutes which was good, then went by the stage and chilled there for a couple hours, i LOVE the essential selection, so many good tunes and such an awesome vibe!!! there was 3 live performances
1. Gadjo - So Many Times (i saw her walking around miami beach like 3 times that week)
2. Juliet - Avalon (she was pretty good i love that song, i also saw her @ Mansion and my girl got a pic wit her)
3. Barbara Tucker - Most Precious love
+++ Timo Maas, Chris Cox, the Bodyrockers, Sandy Rivera, Max Graham were there too
Nikki beach is a really cool place i can't wait to go abck next year, i even got a pic with zabiela
Pete Tong - awesome as usual he is the man everytime he spins
James Zabiela - nice mix from him, it was my first time seeing him and he really impressed me, he is also a really cool guy to talk to
Deep Dish - :eyespop: :eyespop: WOWWOWOWOWOW it was one of da best mixes ever, so much energy and such good tunes :crazy: :crazy:
Behrouz - umm not into it but kept da sound going for Pete Tong
even Kelly Osbourne showed up which was cool, i also saw oakey chillin in VIP along with everybody else from radio 1. da food @ nikki beach is awesome too, nice little place to eat, but pricey
Left @ 5:30 to go see Armin @ Spec's mucis store but he didnt show up til later so i just left and said F*** it

PvD / Ferry / Sander K @ Space:
:crazy: :eyes: :eyes: :crazy: :crazy: :eyespop: :eyespop: most amazin nite of the week hands down.... sorry no pics from space cause i 4got the camera in the car :( but o well i remember everything from that nite which is all that matters
got there @ 11 and it took me and my girl an hour and a half to get in cause we didnt have tickets... and there was only 8 ppl in front of us :mad: :mad: Space sucks when it comes to how they run things.
Anyway,got in and stayed in the main room for edgar, then pvd, then ferry
Edgar V - I really liked his set, so much energy and so many good tracks kept everybody moving and set up da crowd nicely for Mr. PvD
PvD - What can i say i LOVE da man, he always throws down good sets!! that place was PACKEDD but there was still a little room to dance in front by the booth. FAVORITE tune of the nite - PvD Ft. Vega 4 - The Other Side!!! ( i cant find that song anywhere HELP)
Ferry Corsten - i only stayed for like 45 minutes of his set because i wanted to check out the terrace when the sun came up!! he played alot of good tracks including Tiesto- Lethal Industry :crazy: :eyespop:, at that point i headed upstairs for sander K
Sander K - AWESOME SET!!!! it was my first time seeing him and he didnt dissapoint one bit! it was cool seeing the sun come up and bein on da space terrace listening to some good tunes. i didnt know exactly what kinda music he spins but i couldnt have been more pleased!! SPACE TERRACE OWNS X1000000000
well i left at around 7AM so i can get some sleep for ultra
Saturday 3.26.05:
got to ultra @ around 2 and got mad because i couldnt bring anything in, no cameras, no bags, no sunscreen :mad: :mad: so i had to walk back to the car to drop everything off which sucked.... anyway in and walked around da place to check out everything, i saw
Christopher Lawrence - Great set by him, he really set the vibe and played a good hard set, looking forwards to seein him in NY soon
Armin van Buuren - After CL was done @ da amphitheater i went to see armin on the main stage, he played a really good set with so many good tracks (all tracklistings in the WMC forum as u kno) he seemed mad @ da people behind him that were setting up da stage for somebody else while he was on but i dunt kno what that was all about??
Pete Tong - only stayed for a half hour because i wanted to get back to da amphitheater but he played a good set includin Juliet-Avalon(Jacques Lu Cont Mix) which is one of my favorite tracks of the moment
Oakey - it took me a while to get a good spot in the crowd up front because it was SOOOO PACKED but he was just GAY GAY GAY!!!!! o my god i use to love oakey but he just sucks now, again he played traffic and got booed, then played some crappy tracks, i was very disappointed (i was expecting it so its aiight)
Junkie XL - What can i say other then SICK!!!! it was my first time seein him and he totally killed it, he is such an awesome performer, he rocked the place. Favorite tune was - Blue Pill, Red Pill!!! i love that track
Tiesto - I was really impressed with Tiesto's set, he played real hard and was really into his set, i looked back to see SOOO may ppl dancing and going crazy it was awesome Favorite Tune was Tiesto- Just Be
Paul van Dyk - The godfather of Trance and Ultra :crazy: :crazy: :eyespop: :eyespop: WOW was that an awesome closing set!!! Tune of the night was - For an Angel and The Other Side!!!! and it was really cool of him to take the mic and say that it was an amazing for him :D
After Ultra i went to Mansion for F*CK ME IM FAMOUS!!!!

AWESOME SET BY MR. Pink Paradise Himself!!! he played a sick set including The World is Mine, Stay, and Just a Little More Love!!! i got to take a pic with him @ 5 when he was done and even saw Tiesto's manager floating around!! i was on da right side of VIP cause mansion has all of VIP in the middle so you cant get 2 da dj booth, they were throwin out ME IM FAMOUS IBIZA shirts to ppl so i got 2 of those :D and finally got through to the front @ 5 when it was closing, 1 more thing, i was next to david n Juliet @ da end of the nite and he LOVESS her and he told her that the remix for avalon he did is one of his favorites and he really wants to do a couple songs with her, so she agreed and was excited too so look for that comin out soon probably!!! (havin an inside scoop like that is awesome, i feel privileged)
BTW, when i was outside mansion, there was 4 Ferraris, 1 Lamborghini, 3 Rolls Royce's, a couple Bentley's :eyes: :eyes: talk about a beautiful sight :crazy: i almost died right there
Sunday 3.27.05:
nothing much to do, just walked around south beach shopping, and i saw Ferry walking around so i said whats up to him, i thought that was really cool to see so many celebrities walking around South Beach
and i left on monday 28th with an horrible AA experience

Thur night - Tiesto ripped it up, best set i've ever heard. Roger Sanchez on Terrace was good.
Friday - Radio1 @ Nikki beach was nice. Some friends of mine had tables in the VIP area behind the Dj booth in the garden so I got to meet Ferry Corsten for a little bit, i saw Oakenfold but i didnt care enough to go meet him.
Friday Night - PVD was aight, Ferry was better, and i didn't get to see Sander on the Terrace.
Sat - Ultra - Armin was good, Ferry was good, Oakenfold was a nice suprise, Junkie XL was eh, Tiesto was decent and i only stayed for the first 30 min of PVD's set.
Sat night - Deep Dish was great, Pete Tong and two other Dj's rocked the terrace hard.
I love SPACE!

I have to say this year was better than last year because the Terrace was utterly rediculous! Here's my review by each day...
Thur - Went to Spin with Sander, Fanciulli, and Dekay. I thought the place was tiny but I still had a good time, Sander was good, I was disappointed that Dekay came on after 4 for like an hour, he was the person I wanted to see but, I peaced out by then because I was hammered.
Fri - Nikki Beach was an awesome time, saw Zabiella for the first time and he had me going nuts, Behrouz was just o.k., Ali was sick, went to the VIP, got to meet Ferry which was pretty cool, the crowd and place is just amazing because everyone is ripping the dance floor and the women are flat out gorgeous.
Fri Night - PVD at Space, this night started out ed because I waited too long to get there and the Fire Marshall wasnt letting heads in the place. Waited for 2 hours before getting into the side room where the music destroyed my hearing because of the treble. Decided to wait again for the main floor, and went to the Terrace to see Sander because it was so crowded inside... Sander was ing unreal!!! Crowd was awesome even though there were sketchballs everywhere... I've never seen so many effed up people until Sat night. Was totally impressed with Sander and will go to Crobar in NYC to check him out.
Sat - Ultra - Thought AVB was sick (dropped Purple Haze :eyespop: :eyespop: and Bling Bling... I love him when he's playing Tech Trance), was totally surprised that Oakenfold dropped a really good set. Junkie XL was alright, he doesnt do it for me, and left during Tiesto to get to Space...
Sat Night - Deep Dish at Space, went around 11 to beat the line. Behrouz started out, and had everyone dancing until Ali came on at 1-2... stayed inside until around 3 and went to the Terrace to see Max Graham who dropped 'Owner of A Broken Heart', 'Gone' and some other that had everyone jumpin. Went back downstairs and noticed that a majority of the crowd were dudes and then I ran back upstairs to hear a combination of Fanciulli, Behrouz, Tong, and Howells... was the best time I had at the WMC. Stayed until 2 pm :disbelief
Weird that happened included - Huge beach balls being hit around everywhere, P.Diddy dancing around the Terrace floor while Tong dropped his new 'house' song and everyone looking around like someone turn this off!, an amazing saxaphonist playing along with the beats for a good half an hour, the ice cannon being shot every other song (amazing), hearing Pump Up The Jam (Bootleg) 5 ing times :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: my song of the conference, watching the ed up deejays throwing napkins, paper plates and trash in the audience around 10 am, laughing at how hard Behrouz was rolling, finally seeing women that were professional body builders point at me which subsequently meant I had to get the outta dodge!
All in all a great time... went to Nikki Beach and Fanciulli on Sunday night but didnt compare to the rest of the WMC (Nu NRG were ripping the dancefloor up like all the other cracked out idiots including myself)... Cant wait to go back, AJ, D, Tyas had a sick time and Luzz, thanks for the CD, it was good meeting you.
Cant wait to see Behrouz, Sander, and Fanciulli again :eyespop: |
