OK...

So, you take thousands of people that love to go clubbing....you take some of the biggest DJ's that draw said people and you combine them together and you have lines...period

I went to Space two times this WMC...had a friggin blast both nights (Tuesday and Saturday)...no lines, no hassle (I had presale tix both nights)....IF I were going to go on Wed, Thursday or Friday I would have been there no later than 11pm...I would know that if I got there later, then I would have to wait in line

Yes, I paid $7 for a water or energy drink there...but that was par for EVERY friggin club in Miami or SoBe for WMC...

Yes, it does suck that if you had a Space Pass you couldn't get in right away....But this is WMC people...

And honestly, I did not have any issues or problems with the security, staff or anyone else at Space...

Saturday night for the Yooshi party was the best 'overall' party for me for this year's WMC...

You can all say that Space sux...but they do still throw a hell-uv-a good party and I know I will be returning there next WMC...

Sorry, just me $.02

Yes, you did well in getting there early but I will have to say again. It is not a matter of staying in line it is a matter of being able to get in. If I bought tickets a month in advance to see someone I should be able to get in to see that person play. Lots of people could not get in and that is the problem. The problem is that Space sold more tickets than their capacity and got caught. I do not mind the line as long as I can get in a see the DJ and I also understand about supply and demand and therefore understand why the prices of the drinks are so high. Because people are willing to pay for it.

I always did say Puig has his head up his own ass when it comes to running that club of his.

Well said...

I am from Detroit....the club scene is, um, let's just say that there is pretty much only ONE venue here that has the capacity and sound to bring in big name DJ's...I have waited in line for over a HOUR getting to this venue at 10:30 only to find that the venue was only half full....now THAT is frustration!!!

If you think about it this way....you sell a said amount of presale tickets...but there are 500 people that show up at 10pm that don't have presale tickets....what do you do? Do you make the people without presale tickets wait until 4am? No, you let them in, make them pay through the nose and hope the fire marshal doesn't show up...I am not saying that Space didn't have some problems, but it is just my experience that if you club a lot, then you learn to take into account some of the problems that may arise...

if i'm not mistaken one year for tiesto they did actually do that. anyone who did not have a pre-purchased tix was not let in until at least 3am. they should've done that, but guess what ITS SPACE. Like i've posted b4 Space will get u somehow some way. it really sux ass for what they do. we as clubber need to beat them at their own game otherwise they will get us every single time.

I didn't think it was too bad. Monday and Tuesday I got there around 10 and went straight in... on Friday, it took me about an hour to get through the line (I had no presale ticket or space pass), but that didn't suprise me too much. Once I got in things were just fine up on the terrace.

Made Events runs the show here in New York. For Pvd Roxy a year ago the turn out was huge but they had no problems getting people in the door. Here is how they did it..... They had two lines. One for pre sold tickets/ will call & another for no tickets. Each line had its own enterance into the venue. Everyone got in.
