Taylor - Slide

Slide has long been one of my favorite productions, alongside many better-known classics. But it never seemed to be recognized outside a small sphere of late-90s progressive trance, the Los Angeles subsound of Christopher Lawrence, Taylor, and Sandra Collins.
In fact, few people reading this thread are likely to even know the name, much less remember it. The track was Taylor's first solo breakthrough after his collaboration with BT on Anomaly (Calling Your Name), in a similar sound but with greater anthemic intensity.
To this day I haven't grown tired of it. The main riff is simple, but hit me from day one. I consider it as brilliant as Bedrock's best work.
This could be my own obsession -- everyone has one, that no one else understands -- but I do wish Slide had more fans. |

Is this the same Taylor that produced Taylor - Xenophobe on Fluid?
The 2004 remix by Burufunk was a banging ass track that I really enjoyed. The Cass & Slide remix was quality as well, although it was released with the original in 2000.
I'm gonna check out this song regardless. |

| Yea it is the same Taylor.. and Cobalt I definatly agree about slide.. I havent heard it in ages but it's a greeaattt choon. Those guys from L.A. turn out some awsome stuff.. unfortunatly your right, not alot of people recognize them or even know who they are. |

| A very nice tune. Not sure if I quite share your obsession, but if I had to define progressive trance (or the sound of Hook, for that matter) this would be one of my top choices. Keep preaching. |

| Absolutely. Awesome track indeed. This was one of the great tracks feautured off the Fluid Records compilation mixed by Lucien Foort and the Voyager I think. |
