I just went & saw it, & it is the biggest peice of I have ever seen. Dont go & see this film, it is freaken aweful. Flat characters, boring storyline, total & utter .

I expected as much.
Here is my take on Sin City...I wonder why it got the hype it did? B/c it looked "cool"? Well we all know visuals do not make a great film. What does???
In addition lets look at several things:
- Frank Miller has written some interesting graphic novels. I would say Dark Knight Returns (the comic that put him on the map) was his greatest work. Yet he has no skills when it comes BEHIND the camera. He wrote Robocop 2 which was garbage..just b/c one is a great comic artist/writer it does not give he/she the ability to work behind he camera.
- Robert Rodriguez is a less than stellar director. His work has been bland and boring; his only great film was his low budget first film (El Mariachi). This is is the guy who made Spy Kids 3D btw..
- Finally, aside from the flat story which you mentioned, this film is loaded w/ too many "stars". If the creators were confident in their material they would cast the BEST performers for the different parts. For sure you should have maybe 2-3 marketable names in the project, but the rest of the cast doesnt have to be someone well known. Look at all the highest grossing films...in most of them there are maybe 2-4 well known actors, but the rest of the cast is not as well known.
The good thing is this doesnt distract the viewer. For films like Sin City where almost every freaking role is someone famous it gets to the point where people in the theaters will be counting which famous name will come next instead of focusing on the story.
And please...who the hell cares if Alba is in it??? Sure Alba is "hot", but you can just browse the net or buy a magazine like Maxim to look at attractive people. I dont know about you, but I go to see a film for the acting and story lol |

i ing hate bull like this. just post an opinion, and post it well, where you dont look like a pissed off teenager who can't form thoughts cohearantly.
i for one think it looks "dope" as the kids say and will enjoy it greatly. its a ing movie, not the end of the universe.
