Sorry about the ridiculous amount of space between this text and the table below! I tried as much as I could to get rid of it but I couldn't!!!!

Anyway, I wanted to share some research with y'all. I found the Prelude's Torque:Weight ratio to be much better than the Civic's and thus the lower 0-60 time, and HP:Weight ratio is slightly better. I also included a few other of the cars we've been discussing.

One anomoly is the better HP:Weight ratio for the Celica GT-S (vs. Prelude) yet the manufacturer's 0-60 time is slower than the Prelude's. Wasn't sure if that was a mistake; the Lude is about 450 lbs. heavier!!

I have a remote on my key chair. That fires a 35# solenoid in the bottom of the door which pulls the latch internally....door pops open:D

I think the Celica's slower 0-60 is because of it's lower torque/weight ratio. For quick acceleration, and in this case to only 60mph, the lower torque rating will hurt it more.

Hi guys, I'm new to trance addict but not new to cars. My profile pic is one of my at Mosport in street/track car. I'm part of few different car clubs and also go on some open lapping days. I've done quite a bit to my car but anyone who knows its not about what you got its about how you drive it. I've got lots of pics but have no idea how to attach one. Everytime I do it asks for a web address. Can't we upload a pic?
MarkT
welcome!

unfortunately you have to have a URL to link...can't upload directly to TA. Just use any free online image hosting service.

I hear ya on the "how you drive it" part ;)

A guy on a car forum always replies to noobs with the same answer when they say "what should I do first with my car"...he says "driving lessons" (i.e. through a racing school) :D

can't quite tell from your avatar...what are you driving (and what have you done to it?)

That appears to be a 996 911 of some sort.

You guessed right. I have an 01 porsche 996. Well I guess everyone wants to know the mods...

- porsche factory roll bar
- Euro Spec fix bucket GT3 seats
- Bilstien PSS9 coil overs
- GT3 front and rear full adjustable sway bars
- Unichip piggy back ecu
- Fabspeed Intake mod with K&N
- Removed mufflers and from cat straight out. (a screamer)
- Installed fire extinguisher
- 5 point harness for both driver and passenger
- Smoked clear side markers
- 18" 5 spoke Porsche OEM rims from a 2002+
- ADVAN A048 Yokohams's... soon to be changed to the new Yoko's. These tires are really an R compound tire with 2 grooves to make it legit to drive from home to track.

Soon to come, sport clutch kit with lightened flywheel. 28lbs-12lbs
Pagid Orange pads to go on soon.

I think that's pretty much it but I might have forgotten something. Oh and enough track time to spank our boys in blue.

Here is pic of me at the track before some of my mods. I also have heavy tints on the car all around 15%. This is an older photo but you get the idea. I have lots of photo's from the track. I will take some photo's of inside the car so you guys can see the madness. Who knows maybe instead of thread maybe we can do car meet one day.
