digital camera trouble shooting

im sure most of you have digital cameras. anyways, just got mine...and the lcd screen isnt working. just a blank screen...does anybody happen to know what i could possibily do to fix it??? btw...its a cannon powershot a510. any help would be greatly appriciated, and could count for your good deed of the day. :)

| If its got an electronic viewfinder, it may be switched to that, and there are also options to disable the screen in the menu mode like most cameras. What has prolly happened is that the screen has been disabled. Failing that take it back. |

press the on/off switch once to power up the camera. |
