Basiclly POAN is a very clever and great track, which has been remixed loads of times, mostly with great result. But DJ Scot totally ruined it. Worst crap.
Salt Tank - Eugina (DJ Tiesto remix)
hoho no wonder Tiesto never played his own remix and went for Michel Woods remix
Schiller - Das Glockenspiel (DJ Tiesto remix)
once again Tiesto shows that he left his brain at home when he remixed this. And again, he never played it and went for Humate remix. |

being asked to the the first to spin at the olympics calls for much better quality tracks on the album IMO
Olympic flame - :conf: huh?:wtf: wtf was he thinking... maybe for a regular artist album, but for the olympics:conf: bit cheesy imo...the intro builds up nice and everything but the synth stab melody is a bit weak, weak, weak, weakweak weak - not olympic material imo
Heros is cool, props on some good breaks
Coming Home is alright, the energy makes up for the melody which to me sounds slightly THE SAME as Theme From Norefjell (DJ Jan & Christophe Chantzis mix):whip: i oughtta take a few classics and remove a few notes from the melody, maybe ill be asked to do the 2008 olympics:gsmile:
Athena is good stuff, im fond of it anyways
the montana edit of Breda8pm is cool up to the little tweety synths, good tune untill you get to those couple little shreds of cheddar sprinkled on, +1 week of grounding for tijs on letting those sprinkles be allowed into an album for the olympics
Ancient History is cool, for the setting anyways, kinda tribal, the flute and all goes well for greece i guess... but again +1 more week to tijs for taking the bass synth line from Lethal Industry's climax and incorporating it into Anc.History's climax

Mauro Picotto is another of my fav dj/producers, guy knows how to cook up some slammin techno....however, id say he went alittle too hard on The Alchemistit starts good, builds energy, but thats where he went alittle overboard, too much energy, very clangy hard to understand let alone dance too but i guess if you have a floor full of ppl rolling balls it would pass
i liked Infected Mushroom - Cities of the future... all accept for the vocals.. im not much of a fan for vocals tho especially somewhat cheesy ones that are repeated a few phrases too many - the rest of the track is cool tho... got some crazy closed eye visuals to it once whilst tripping acid:crazy: |

Altho this isn't mauro's finest 8 minutes, it wipes the floor with the original, which imo, is one of the worst tunes I've ever heard. |

I disagree on the Eugina Remix, it's better than Woods' version IMO. Stays true to the original in a good way.
Agree on the Glockenspiel Remix though, the Humate Remix is heaps better. Tiesto should never have laid his hands on that one. |
