I think the pads should come in earlier
maybe the hi hat needs some reverb...or maybe its just because there isn't enough layers of percussion. just kick hat kick hat...I think you should work on your percussion.
3:12...change the melody...it sounds really out of tune, not enjoyable to listen to.
There was a build up but all it lead to was that lead synth and the kick alone...this track lacks some of the key features of trance, energy, tension and suspence. (not trying to sound harsh, it does take alot of practice to perfect, just trying to push you in the right direction)
I think you have alot of potential once you learn the basics of structure...and have an idea of what trace music is all about. Maybe this article/guide will help.
Also listen to as much trance music as you can, listen to how the energy, tension and suspense is used to induce emotions from the listener. If you can make a song that fulfills their expectation, and make their head move at the release point of the built up energy, then your onto a winner.
