Bit of a Dj'ing 'noob' here (go easy) First time poster but long time viewer... so howdy! :D
Was wondering if you lot would be able to help me out with a little problem. Basically I finally got round to getting some Dj equipment a few weeks back, only the Sony speakers and Amp were out of stock, and I only got them yesterday.
Opened the box to find there's no cables included what-so-ever
I know which bit plugs into what port and all that but I don't know which cables I need to go out and buy to connect the Amp to the Mixer (I think it's a phono cable like the one's connecting the turntables to the mixer?), and I haven't clue what cable to get to connect the Amp to the two speakers.
I've added some pictures of the said ports and equipment if that helps at all. It's a Vestax PCV-275 Mixer by the way.
Back of the PCV-275:

Amps ports:

Speaker connectors:

Back of the Speakers:

So can anyone help me with what cables I need, and a rough price of them? I really am clueless in this department.
Thanks in advance. :) |

| looks like you need to get some wires to hook up the speakers to the amp. the ones where the copper wiring is covered by the plastic thingie....then run those to the amp. Sorry I dont know what the fook they're called. |

| ok you only need 2 are 3 wires mate .. a phono from the output of the mixer (like the ones from the decks to the mixer) into one of the inputs on the amp .... ok . then from the amp just get some speaker cabel and trim off the plastic ider end and twist of the end of the nobs on the amp , and put the wire in and twist back on the nob .. then put the bare end of the wire into the hole on the screw on the back of the speaker make sure you have the right coulers from red to red and black to black .. then twist on the screws again and that shud be it man any probs just giv a shout |

for mixer to amp get RCA cables...
go to an electronics store and ask where the audio cables are... theyre red and white ike you see on the back of the mixer and amp...length of cord will depend on how much you need, that being said id personaly shoot for a medium length cable as you may end up moving your equipment around sooner or later and i find having lot of extra length to be better than not having enough length
as for speakers just ask for speaker cables at the store... dunno the name but its basicly a red/blank wire and a black wire together, again, buy whichever length suits you
and thats it.. match the colors and youre good to go |
