BTW, none of those songs are "eurodance". And what you consider "ambient" may be slightly different from someone else's idea of it. In any event, I will indicate that some of the ones mentioned do not qualify as "ambient".

What you classify as "ambient" is your business, I just pointed out that none of the tracks you mentioned (at least those I've heard) come even close to fit the real definition of the term. I won't argue with you over what's eurodance or not, but Rimini Project must be some of the most cheesiest "trance" producers out there, and about as far from ambient as you can get.

From where did you get that impression? Nothing he says indicates that he's looking especially for vocal tunes.

I'm gonna sound like such a ing trancecracker now. Prepare.

Vincent De Moor - Fly Away :nervous:

The version without vocals, that is. There, I said it. It's for personal reasons, so don't bother me about it!

A sound having "ambient" qualities does not necessarily need to be restricted to soft downtempo trance, it can have both driving beats and ambient/ethereal sounds. I'm also well acquainted with the term thankyou. I'm heavily into ambient music.

As for your appraisal of RP, I can't take with more than a grain of salt. In this forum, anything is called "cheese" that isn't particularly liked by the person making the claim. The definition is actually wide and varied--In my book there's both bad and good cheese. If you mean cheesy lyrics, I agree, if you mean "cheesy" (as in cheapp commercial) sound, then I have to disagree. Just because something is melodious and catchy does not render it "cheese". And if I'm correct, one of Austria's top classical music composers is behind the act. Great stuff...

Also, their music is extremely atmospheric (ambient), basically the same difference -- unless you wish to get technical.
Camwin
Solar Stone tunes: Spesh Seven Cities & Solarcoaster.

and there's one other tune that's really nice, not released yet but has just been signed look out for:
Redstar pres. Frosted - "Frosted" (Summer calling) ;)

I'll agree with the aforementioned, and will throw in Accadia - Into the Dawn.

Debating with you is fruitless, as you can't seem to concede that you are wrong. When you claim that Rimini Project is ambient you really show that you have no clue. But as already said, what you classify as ambient is your business, I just doubt very much that that kind of tunes what was the threadstarter was after based upon the examples he gave.

You say you're "heavily into ambient music" - maybe you could give a real example? DJ Sammy perhaps? :haha:
