I think the mods on TA do an excellent job, every other forum except the COR is for the majority of time, safe for viewing by the majority of ages, gender, race etc without too much flaming (yes ppl still get flamed but often ppl's emotions run away with them during a debate/arguement)
if the stupid posts / posters are kept to the COR then at least you all know its in the cor and then its up to u if you want to view that forum or not.
the worst of the threads / posts / posters in the cor are dealt with, pics of porn, outright flaming or ganging up on an individual is not tolerated, the odd drunk thread does not do anyone any harm and as long as the forum is not covered in drunk threads than imo its fine.
Multiple fad threads are also dealt with, we let the wtf alliance thread continue because its contained to the one thread, the COR serves its purpose, ppl post silly crap there as a release, you can't be serious 100% of the time.
generally the users that post in the COR are alright and do particpate in a positive way in other forums on this site.
Those who are repeat offenders or ignore on a regular basis the few rules we have are banned.
However if you have any ideas on how Swamper / the mods of TA can improove the site then you are welcome to post them in this section and all sensible ideas are considered.
All the mods are approchable at any time if you have a problem, just send them a PM and they will help you to the best of thier abilities.

hehe the COR is out of control ;) I like the swearing and that we can post a lot of bull in the COR cause its real fun. |

lol this thread is unbeliveable.
you've been here 5 minutes yourself and you're coming out with all this like me and other mods dont control this place enough. have you ever been a moderator on a forum this size? i doubt it, its not as easy as "close this, delete this, ban this" - infact, this entire this is so unbelieably crazy im not even going to finish my post. |

I am a Newbie Bin moderator on xbox.net. Xbox.net is a gaming community about half the size of this one (comparing the # of users -- xbox.net =21,750 ;; tranceaddict.com =46,762). To prevent spam, they made a new "Newbie Bin" forum for newbie memebers. To get out of the newbie bin (forum) and have all the posting privellages they must get 50 posts and do not spam, if the person spams, he is banned. Edit the thread, close the topic, report it to the higher ranks -- admins. *Banned* IT IS as easy as close this, and ban this. Very strict forum with very, very little spam. You swear too much, you might get a cussing warning from an administrator or a moderator. |
