Yeah its the annual TA April Fools joke. I have to say I'm a bit dissapointed by this one. Last yrs Trance Mp3 virus was too good. |

I'll be there! I bought my pre-sales ticket. Sky's website says they're almost sold out of $10 tickets. Not sure whether to take that with a grain of salt or not.
I've seen Freeland twice--KILLER show both times. Not strictly trance, but a mix of everything, & his own great mashups.
I highly recommend this show. |

I showed up late, right around midnight. Almost immediately ran into Racing4hoes (nice to see you).
Usually I don't care for Jonhy Invisible (the resident DJ & standard Sky opener). Tonight he was tag-teaming with another guy whose name I didn't catch, but I was liking the stuff. They played a mash-up of Underworld (from Trainspotting) & that song from Oakenfold's Ibiza (not very descriptive, maybe I'll look up the songs later).
Club was the most crowded I'd ever seen outside of Paul van Dyk.
Adam came on at 12:30. He played a good set, but I wasn't loving it as much when I saw him in Houston last fall. I don't know whether it was my mood, or the fact that with so many people there, trying to dance to breakbeats, there was alot of limbs flailing.
Adam played a new remix of Nirvana's "Lithium" which really got everyone going. "I found my friends, they're in my head". Also
"Smells like Freeland".
a few seconds of "We want your soul".
I ended up at an after-party at Sake on Sixth around 3 AM, & Freeland was there too. Like Felix da Housecat, he's shorter than I expected. & like when I saw Felix, I didn't know what to say to a DJ I think highly of. I stuttered "I saw you in Houston last fall...not many people were there, but I really liked it." |

it was cool seeing you also tmft. yea, johny invisible was tag teaming with jason jenkins. and with Underworld was called Born Sloppy. Jason or Johnny told me, forgot who cause i was on a high as usual. went to that afterparty also, but i saw the guys who i had problems with from jerry bohnam so we skipped going in and headed back to sa. it was a great show, cant believe he didnt use headphones the whole time. Kinda different to see that from a headliner.

Underworld--Born Slippy, of course.
Also played Mr. Brightsides, Jacques Le Cont reMix. Great to hear that out at the club.
He finished up around 2:30--a short set. My friend bet me $1 whether he would play an encore--I got a quick dollar. Final encore song was
"Reign" by Unkle. |
