I'm not the greatest Polish catholic but I do have my faith and the passing of the Pope has deeply touched me :( This is 1 of the reasons why I had to quite my plans for the night.

I remember seeing him at the World Youth Day here in Toronto. It was raining as I walked there, and most people had umbrellas or rain ponchos. But when the service started, the rain stopped, the clouds cleared up, and the sun came out.

I'm sad.

Remember all the people that camped out in the mud just to be close to the stage at Downsview??

Can people explain to me why he should be mourned at the level he is being mourned at?

And please dont show me how many times hes travelled around the world.

This thread reminds me of the RIP Ronald Reagan thread. Everyone was so sad.. but didnt know why... only becuase they were an public figure.

Remember.. i dont take a liking to people who want me to suffer becuase i dont beleive in their god :)

Sometimes people cant explain their religious feelings or beliefs. I could try and tell you what i think but i prefer to keep my grainular religious business to myself.

Think of how selfless jpII was. How much good he did and how he devoted his life to people of all races and religions. He deserves the outmost respect regardless of creed.

HAY HOW DO I POST ON THIS INTERNET

Yes, Pope John Paul II was a great man, and massive respect to him. However, some of you are not realizing that not everybody here is Catholic, and therefore really cares about this event.

Come on folks. Lets bring TOTA together. I love all of you girls and guys. No, I'm not on drugs or anything. We just need to stop arguing and taking posts on THE INTERNET seriously.

<3 TOTA <3

Maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture though. If not, let's blame our friend Alexander Keith.

what does being Catholic have to do with anything ? not everyone who's posting something meaningful in this thread is necessarily Catholic, or even religious for that matter..

it wouldn't matter if it was the Dalai Lama , Princess Diana , etc. or any other public figure who tried to use their position to help make the world a better place .. people are gonna talk about it

with all the other 234982359544 pointless threads that litter TOTA, what does it matter that some people here post their thoughts about this ?

Perhaps it was divine intervention?:) ...I watched it on TV and you know that he loved seeing & being surrounded by so many young people...like I said before...He'll be a hard act to follow.

some people seem to take things seriously when they're about a serious subject matter

the bottomline is, people who mourn are those who had a connection with the person who passed away. if maxtuh's parents or cyrus kings god DJ tiesto passed away i wouldnt GIVE A because they had no impact on my life HOWEVER, out of RESPECT to their feelings, i would just avoid the thread all together (assuming there was one). if i did have questions i would inquire in a respectful way. why? because others ARE affected by this and you/we have to take that into consideration & respect that....YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THAT. there is a right way of doing things and clearly both members i mentioned above approached this the wrong way...

just my thoughts,

goodnight!
