past twilo schedule circa 2000?

so... i was thinking here at work, and all of a sudden, i remembered that around thanksgiving 2000, a friend suggested going to twilo on that wednesday night. does anyone recall who was playing that night?
i regret that we didn't go because the huge line thing was a deterrent |

| hmmm i think groove armada had a twilo weekday residency back in 2000 thursday or wed.. they only opened the vip on these nights..also boy george spun on a wed. nite during those times.. and the amateur dj contest was held on a wed. but this was on the main fl. in early 2001... |

but for thanksgiving or something, wouldn't it be a special guest? maybe oakenfold (since he does have that trancegiving thing) |

oh.. hmm.. thanksgiving, oakey spun at roseland im pretty sure.. at twilo s&d def. had their nite that wknd, cant rememeber who was on wed. tho..:p |

yep! Terry Francis had a week day party as well.
I think around 01 Oakey had a Thanksgiving Eve party with a dope lineup - D:Fuse and Seb Fontaine @ Hammerstein Ballroom.
One of my most memorable Twilo nights was Carl Cox for $15. I have to admit though, catching Josh Wink and Lawler for $15 on an off night made me into the twilo bitch i was. i'd literally go there since there wasn't anywhere else to go. I did the exit thing after twilo died which slowly became the limelight stage where literally there'd be no more than 200 people in there on a friday night. that became my crackedout spot since exit was just drama.
There are 3 total things that will forever leave an impression in my mind about twilo:
1-Unplugged Metal Detector
2-Drug Sign @ Ticket Counter
3-Rubber ball seats by coat check
Those 3 things encaptures the essence of twilo...
well of course the dance floor that was due to cave in. if you stood directly under the huge mirror ball you'd end up jumping without even jumping cuz the floor was bending so jumping in unison was inevitable. |
