could only catch the beginning of his set b/c of friends wanting to leave early =P. His first few tracks were sweet though. Guys b4 him played some sick techish and progressive tracks as well. I thought they played some rather weak housey tunes which was the only downfull of their set. Thought it would climax but never really peaked.
Club itself was ok. I thought those bouncers w/their trench coats were Nazi soldiers or Gestapo or something. Crowd looked like a normal clubbing crowd besides the usual true fans who make their way to the front. |

Great night! It's always good to meet more TOTAs. Sorry if i was short with a few of you because once the night gets going im quite busy. I definately think that the late night party is going in the right direction. The club is absolutely built for it and the guests in the works will blow you guys away.
As for the dress code. I think during drinking hours, a dress code is needed. Usually partiers show up later anyways and people who come early and dress down are usually not looking to party, more likely the opposite. A dress code till 1:30 is a good comprimise and benefits everyone. If you are a partier and come earlier perhaps they will let you bring your dancing shoes in with you so you can change them later on? |

I don't thikn it's a bad idea at all either...The club is absolutely beautiful and if people dress nice it just adds to it. I was WAY overdressed cause of the whole Mink fiasco but other than that it was great. There were lots of people who were dressed very stylish-ly and it was great to see :) |

Last night was amazing,I went there after work and got there around 4:00AM eventhough I was dead tired Iam so glad that I went.J00F was in awesome,amazing track selection, he truly blew me away with his set.I stayed till the end and didnt want to miss anything.
I just love that club,it is so beautiful and the sound system is just mind blowing.I hope everything works out for these guys because it truly is a great club and hope more and more people would start showing up because the last thing I wanna see is that if they turn the place into another in top 40 bull.:(
shoutouts to Del(must teach me the gino dance moves:wtf: ),Mirza,Mr.Cuzo ( A true party animal HE REALLY IS) for a great evening and see ya all next time.

Awesome set, wicked club... pretty much everyone summed it up.
My one complaint: STUPID CLOCK CHANGE! I had to wake up at 7:30 for work, and I got home at 6:30 :( |

fancy night.
The weather and parking place was rough in the beginning, 4 friends and Itrekked thru that ugly snow to see what Republik and J00f were all about. We got to the first entrance from John st. and the bouncers were all a tad confued and sending people to the other door. Nobody knew which line was guestlist line. and nobody knew what was going on about dresscode either, as some ppl were checked and some weren't. Surprisingly, no frisk-down and the hustle-bustle with the lineups and bouncers outside made it a very rough time getting in. ladies were treated well of course, that's understandable.
then the Hip-Hop room ended up being our entrance. That coat check was full (this was around midnight-ish) so we walked thru the crowd and found the hallway to the room that was our saviour, as we heard the sounds of 4/4 on the floor. THIS ROOM IS AWESOME!!!... must be the best lit and decorated room in club district!!! the lighting and lazers and screens totally make it a need-a-seizure-got-a-seizure environment!! gotta love it!
Sound system seemed loud enough and clear enough but unless you were standing in the right places it seemed lacking. I really did like how the bars were setup, which were also lit up too!
good bar staff.. they just gotta get used to the kind of crowd they're in for. Prices are usual club drink prices as I see em... too much everywhere.. there's no getting away from it. I was glad to see the circular men's washroom validated from the pictures we saw here on TA.. interesting layout. Tables on the side were nice, but I think the club could use more seating/lounging space perhaps. I like how the stage is left open for every1 and it was great to see all the TAs there too.. RJ (no, thank YOU!), Ray(he's not into "trance" anymore), starsearcher (classy), Cuzo (tanned up!), Dennis Hahn (cheers!), Del, aka Swampah!!, etc, etc.
It was quite nice to meet J00F just before his set too! Much shorter than in his photos. Spoke with Walter, too... fancy nightclub you got there, man!!
J00F spun a wickid set of deep psy-trance and every1 just ate it up. I like how the dancefloor lightenned up around 3am-ish...left room to move.
Definitely coming back for other nights. |

An AWESOME night. The getting in process was slightly difficult, but well worth it as there was plenty of dancing space [which is worth its volume in gold].
It was awesome to meet up with Dennis Hahn, Swamper and John 00 before his set and have a few drinks. John is so down to earth, and an all around great guy.
Then. He came up to the decks. I had high expectations, [as he blew my mind at WEMF last year] and not only did he meet them, he blew my mind. Playing his dirty-filthy-'youve-been-a-very-bad-trance-now-go-to-your-room'-style psytrance i was taken away. John, you killed me at WEMF, and you killed me again, 9 months later. And talking tom him before the set we found out that he'll be spinning at wemf [but shhh no telling!:p ]
It was awesome meeting John00, Swamper, and Dennis [but dennis, if you could have hit on my girlfriend more i would have awarded you a goddamn prize, jeezus christ:rolleyes:] |
