This genre is sooo fun! I simply love the tiny clicks and cuts and I would love to know which artists and labels are common in this genre:D
Any good recommendations? Please tell me!

It's like minimal techno... except... funkier. |

Dear's more minimal tech than microhouse, but yeah, it's a similar thing. As well as Akufen I'd recommend guys like Steve Bug, Tyler Stadius and Magda (although they play a lot of stuff that would border on tech-house as well) and record labels like Poker Flat.
Also, download some of this guys mixes if you get the time:

Really quirky, bouncy, slightly techy microhouse. Cool stuff if you want to broaden your horizons a bit. :) |

Geoff White. This guy creates amazing atmospheres, very smooth and very minimal.
Questions And Comments (LP released on Force Inc.) is really good, I highly recomend it.
He also made a fantastic LP with Stewart Walker called Discord (also released on Force Inc.). |

i Could already be into this stuff and not even know it :p
I havnt been able to check out any of the artists listen yet, but from what you have all said, and a couple artists some of you have mentioned that i listen to/heard, i think i have a nice rough idea of what you call microhouse:
sutekh (too techy?)
akufen
some releases from markus guentner
sleeparchive (not so sure about this one, i only have one EP by them and its more on the minimal side, i reckon)
vladislav delay (more...IDM?)
vector lovers (more electro?)
machine drum (mabye)
brothomstates (mabye)
.............
guide me! :happy2: |
