Hey,
Listening .... The piano is sweet but I think enters to *impromptu*, I would work a bit more in a pad or something like a short drum sequence for that intro, but that's just my very personal taste.
The style sounds kinda like in the 99's, as you said the piano it's kinda monotone and I dont liked the Snare/Clap you used, it has too much reverb though and kinda makes sound all dirty.
In overall, is a nice tune, made me remember my summer days some years ago, I just would work a bit more the Production and to add more synths when the piano solos because sounds kinda empty above all of pad, lacks totally of a one but is a cool tune keep it up mate :).
