Maybe I missed the question, why do people insist on saying this, like it's surprising or some old wise saying and holds true all the time. Could you possibly point out anything more obvious by saying that? I'd be worried if that were not true and people kept looking. :) |

It's a simple fourier sum. I think you get that when you do fourier analysis on the curve y=arcsin(x), which passes through (1,pi). Something like that... |
