The Crystal Method @ Virgin Megastore on Sunset In-Store
Shaboom Live @ The Viper Room
THE CRYSTAL METHOD launch the release of their new mix album Community Service II with an in-store at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset at 7:00 pm with Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland who will DJ a set and then sign copies of their new work for fans. Community Service II features exclusive remixes by THE CRYSTAL METHOD of songs by The Doors (“Roadhouse Blues”) and New Order (“Bizarre Love Triangle”), plus some of their own original productions (“Kalifornia” featuring Kevin Beber, “Starting Over” [Elite Force remix], “Bound Too Long” [Hyper remix]) and tracks from the duo’s favorite break-beat producers like UNKLE (“Reign”), Evil Nine (“We Have the Energy”), Uberzone (“Octopus”) and a New Originals mix of Smashing Pumpkins (“1979”).
At THE VIPER ROOM starting at 10 pm is the second installment of SHABOOM LIVE @ THE VIPER ROOM. Presented once again by SOL!D Events (Monday Night Social, Atmosphere, Moonshadows) in association with Cooljunkie.com, the night focuses on live performance and DJs together on-stage. For this turn, SHABOOM’s feature presentation is a Sublevel vs. Blakkat Sound System live performance and DJ set with Doc Martin, Mark Bell and special guest vocalist Lillia as they debut the new single, “LA Transit.” Also confirmed is a collaboration between Lily Hayden and Mark Bell.
