I'm searching for a post Reason production software for hi-quality mastering purposes. Can anyone suggest:
the best software for this?
cheap?
*free?
links?
has anyone tried the ozone by izotope ?

ozone 2 is quite good as it has multiband compressor, multiband stereo image...so you can have tight bass and still wiiiiiiiiiide stereo using rest of the track also the harmonic exciters can be quite good when used carefully...
anyway ... nothing can beat Waves Diamond Bundle atleast for mastering is quite enough the L2 and LinMB:) and LinEQ for sure:) |

| I use T-Racks. It's easy and gives you much for your money. Ozone is one of the better "all-in-one" mastering plugins. worth a try! It's a lot harder to use than T-Racks. |

Do you mean you wanna master your MIXDOWN via DX plugins through an audio editor ?? |

Ozone is quite good and relatively straight forward. It has multiband compression and limiting and a good eq. It tends to sound pretty cold though so I use it in combination with Vintage Warmer.
My only concern with Ozone is the chain by which it processes the signal. As far as I know, your meant to eq first and then compress and finally limit. The Ozone interface doesnt give you the option to chain the effects as you want them. I guess you could use multiple inserts of it but I usually get lazy and just run it through the one insert. |
