A nice chillout cd for the most part. I was kinda hoping the dark cd would be harder, darker trance but it only stands for the dark blue cd. :p Personally, I was hoping to hear some tracks that maybe I never heard of before but it wont happen on this cd. Just like the title says, it is pretty much Armins favorite tracks from his ASOT show. A nice cd though. Good for driving out on a nice sunny day or chillin at home and you want some calm relaxing tunes.
8/10

Nah, that cd should come in the mail by atleast Friday. Pretty stoked cuz I need a good ambient chillout cd. :D
One thing I have to say about Armin is that atleast he sticks true to trance. And by that I mean by playing it. I mean, look at all the other djs who claim they spin trance but when you see them spin live they throw in a lot of tech too. Armin is mainly trance and you gotta respect him for that. |

gets too monotone like. Thats his downfall. And he still hasnt realized that alternating tracks like tilt 12, with energetic/techy tracks does NOT work.(im not only talking about the cd)
It seems like he does not understand the word F-L-O-W |

| As far as flow is concerned I may have to agree. Did seem like the tracks he was playing when I saw him were kinda thrown around a bit. And yes some of it seems a bit repetitive, but its trance none the less. I went that night to listen to pure 100% trance and that is what I got so I have to be happy. Gotta say Perry's flow was pretty amazing though. He is gonna be a dj to watch out for. ;) |

| You have to give it to Armin though, he sticks to his guns when it comes to playing pure trance. Not alway my thing but Armin is a trance dj/producer |

Personally i LOVE ASOT 2005.
Just so everyone knows, the last 2 times Armin's played in TO
he's been harder than ANY other time i've seen him.
Still mostly trance, but not by much. A lot of dark progressive
and techno to go along with the regular trance beuaties.
To be honest i prefer the way he's played the last 2 times he's been here - i LOVE trance and always will, but for 5 hrs it can be tiresome.
The fact that he plays several genres in a set make them that much better.
To me, he can do no wrong |
