buying a new monitor

I'll buy a new computer for music production in a month or two so I'm wondering if I should go for 19" monitor or 21". Will I have enough profit with 21" or should I just go for 19"? At the moment I have 15" LCD monitor, which is too small. (by the way, I use Fruity Loops)

21" would be expensive. 19" LCDs are more affordable; you can find good ones for less than $400.

Rather than having one large monitor you should go for several. I run 4 monitors, 2 17" and 2 15". That way I have plenty of room for everything. I usually run the sequencer on one of the 17"'s, Reason racks on the other 17", a real-time spectrum analyzer on one 15" and chat windows on the last one :)

So calculating price you should have 2 19".

There are several new lcd monitors I am drooling over.
Dell 24", 2MP

Apple Cinema 30" HD Flat-Panel Display. 30", 4MP

IBM T221. 22" , 9MP

Technology is getting better, though still quiet expensive with prices falling . I think getting a quality monitor is probably the most important feature of a computer especially if you work long time on it . Think of eye strain and how much larger image prevents scrolling and waste of time.

Would be nice to have two, yes. But that also means two graphic cards?

Nah, all graphics cards have two outputs nowadays, even budget ones for like 50 bucks.
