I don't think Ferry would be good at IKON, the place would be filled with all the wrong people. Although Spirit is smaller, there is a better chance of getting a "good" crowd in there. Does anyone know of any other clubs that aren't such big names that could hold a good sized crowd? Perhaps that is the answer, problem with Avalon and even Roxy is that the same people go every friday or saturday as there thing to do regardless of who is spining there that night. Though I think Roxy could be a possible third place.

Thanks, I am still surprised I even got a response, probably only because I also CC:ed Ferry's wife on the email but hey thats what ya gotta do to get things done. I responded with all the clubs listed in this email as suggestions. If he wants more info I guess I will just link him to the thread if he is interested. |

ok so we all agree... that as long as he's not at avalon ny, we would all be much happier. i LIKE crobar insofar as that the space is huge, the wait times to get in are pretty tolerable. i have not seen people get turned away at the door at recent events, and they seem to have relaxed their dress code. ppl are getting in with sleeveless tees and everything. i do agree that their lighting needs work, and that their sound needs help. with earplugs i still felt i had stuffed cotton after i left sasha and digweed.
spirit MIGHT be able to hold ferry, but the staff members there do not do a very good job coordinating ONE line to get in. you see one line become a blob of people, and then shortly before the tickettaker/cashier, it becomes one again, so this leaves open the possibility for cutters.

no doubt...that club has soo much space/rooms, they should really open up more of the areas to people. but actually I dun find it that packed whenever i go...well at least they let ppl go up to the 2nd floor and allow easy access into the DJ booth. I <3 that. :D bouncer-wise i agree wid trunks...$. and any place that decides to pick and choose on criteria other than a scannable id just loses their credibiltiy in my eyes.

yups, i discovered that during Markus when i was TOO tired of getting cornered/crowded by some dirtydancing older Asians :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: a la A Night at the Roxbury. on the 2nd floor i had all the room to just BUG out. hehe. |

yea PvD @ Ikon was the one of the worst nights ever,
1st - the sound system SUCKED and i got hearing damage from it
2nd - too many fights that killed the vibe and made pvd want to leave
but the set up was pretty cool, thats the only good thing about it |

Imo its not an "EDM" croud. At least when i was there. I mean people should get forced off the dancefloor, if they are not danceing. |
The same thing when I was there. The club seemed to be more of a exhibitionist/pick-up club. |
